The Center for Foreign Language Teaching
Responsible for the teaching of foreign languages to all the undergraduates and graduates of the university other than foreign language majors, Center for Foreign Language Teaching has 83 faculty members, including 2 professors, 16 associate professors and 63 lecturers. Five of the teachers have doctor’s degree and 70 have master’s degree. The department also boasts 3 Model Teachers named by the province.
With the joint efforts of all the faculty members, the center has won the university the title of National Model University for College English Teaching Reform by the Ministry of Education, and the course of College English has been named Provincial Model Course. In the past few years, the teachers of the center have won 2 reseacher grants by National Planning Office of Philosophy and Social Science, 1 by the Ministry of Education, and over 20 by the Department of Education of the province.
